Dont let the night end I dont want to lose you Dont let the night end I dont want you to leave me These streets are old, but the memories are young Somehow I have to let them go And I dont know why I love you But I gotta see it through Those days are gone And I wanted to believe in the possibility Cause you know Ill always love you Even if you dont love me Into the night; this road is long On our journey to the sun But tomorrow I will miss you So take it slow, take it slow The day is done, like so many times before And I have only one regret That I didnt try to find you The morning that you left

Evil Woman 06:38
Walk with a heavy stride Prey to the nearest light Shelter and purify, Tempt the wandering eyes Show skin to drive them mad Thoughts their minds never had And who are you to let that slide Turn them to the other side Youre an evil woman One I cant resist The way your body moves The way your shadow twists Youre an evil woman And I must insist That you dont walk my way Because I cant resist you Still the night is young Queen of the elder one Walk like you own the streets And touch everyone you meet Pray until they give you blood If eyes connect the dance is done Bury your hands beneath But dont let me within reach Run, wild, move to The Midnight Drive, hide, close your heroin eyes I thought I might have made it clear I could see the sunlight But everything around me slowed down Light flickered between your gait Turn my path the longest way And walk to the sunrise As you close your heroin eyes

about

The night was old, but I wasn't ready for the sunrise. Bodies shifting in their dreams, preparing to rise into the world and repeat yesterday all over again. I'd become so dependent on the shadows cast by the city lights. The streets all wept quietly as I watched the secrets of other lives unfold between the long breaths of smoke from my lungs. She was a mystery. I could have watched her for days. She had the gait of a queen riddled in despair. Her eyes cold as if she'd witnessed a thousand wars and dark enough to pierce the souls of those beyond the grave. And somewhere in that calloused stare I would imagine the day that I gathered the courage to step into her path and no longer be a ghost. I'd whisper when she passed, but the wind always carried it away. And each night as I watched her fade into the swallowing fog, the veil of loneliness ever so gently receded back onto my eyes. The longing heartbeats my procession. The rolls of thunder a requiem for my nightmare.
